Where do we go from here?
Urban Word Magazine, and it’s future hinges on one thing. Consistency.
I’d like to thank all of my readers for subscribing and I’d also like to assure you all that there is more to come from urbanword.me.
This year has been full of ups and downs for me, for my writing, for my life. The biggest up has to be knowing that my book of poetry ON LIFE won the award for best E-book from the BCALA in 2017. It is still available in paperback and E format with the other works on my Amazon Author Page.
Still, 2017 had some downs to it. Many of them to be exact. I push through to this point only to find myself at the bottom again. I still have to finish my novel. I’ve lost not one, but two jobs this year, I’ve lost more friends.
But, I’ve gained a lot of confidence.
I writing more fiction and I’m looking forward to sending more of my work to different publications and contests.
I’ve grown as writer. I’ve grown as a person. I’ve cut my losses. It is time to keep moving. I am thankful for the people I have met on this journey. The people I have interviewed for UWM. And I happy to say that this will continue.
Next month I will be interviewing URBAN AUTHOR & POET TY NESHA
We will discuss her latest projects and moves for 2018. And I have a cd of my poetic work coming soon. I look forward to sharing it with you all. And, of course, my novel GOOD HAIR/BAD MAGIC. So, along with this blog/magazine, I will have a lot to do. I pledge to consistently have at least 2 regular post on this blog every month. Thanks you for putting up with the lag. I appreciate it.
As always, I say, keep reading, keep writing and whatever you do, keep on.
Stay positive. And always be humble.
